Mr. Tristan Young

Mr. Tristan Young graduated from Rutgers University in 2010 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a Master's degree in Science Education.  During college summers, he worked at an overnight camp for children and adults with disabilities.  Just after graduating, he began designing, engineering, and performing interactive high-energy science shows for large school-aged audiences across the United States from coast to coast.  During the regular off-seasons, he also worked as a food safety scientist for a food packaging plant, a research scientist for a glass manufacturing facility, a K-12 academic tutor, and a high school chemistry and physics teacher before he began teaching science at The Rumson Country Day School.

Mr. Young's genuine enthusiasm for all things science comes across in his teaching style.  Although he (probably) won't light anything on fire during a tutor session, he has been known to bring a molecule modeling kit once in a while.
